Opteka .45x HD? Wide Angle Lens for Canon Powershot G10 Digital Camera Opteka .45x HD? Wide Angle Lens for Canon Powershot G10 Digital Camera Customer Review: Don’t hesitate!
After many comparing and contrasting with the other lenses, I found that this actually works really good for me. I’m not a professional but I do like taking good photos. Recently i’ve been taking action shots in football games and basketball games. My recently purchased G10 wasn’t really helping me out since it wasn’t up to its full capacity. So i decided to get some lens for it.

Customer Review: Decent, but not great
Been using this lens for about a week now. Overall performance is Ok. The photos come out fairly sharp. However, when I switch over to my canon 50mm 1.8, the sharpness is way better than this lens. For more than 3x the cost, I would expect it to be close comparison, but I definitely love the sharpness of my 50mm a lot more. The other thing is that there is no IS on this. I gave my sister to take pictures and most came out to be blurry because I suppose she did not have steady hands. I also noticed that some of my shots were blurry due to the non-IS. If you have sure hands and steady, then this is a decent lens to have. I was shooting children and babies, so had to move around quite a bit, and the results were not good. The focus is not as fast as I would like either. I did like the fact that it came with a hood and a nice case. I really would like something as sharp as my 50mm that can zoom wide angles. I think I will be returning this one. Before this lens, I was using the canon 17-85mm IS USM. I’m spoiled by the IS and really feel unless Tamron or Sigma has that technology in their lens, I wont be switching over.
Customer Review: Just the lens I needed
This is a solid well made lens, f2.8, 7inch close focus approximate 1:3. I would like the lens shade to fit a little tighter. The pictures are great.

Sigma 55-200mm f/4-5.6 DC Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras Sigma 55-200mm f/4-5.6 DC Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras Sigma 55 - 200MM Lens for Canon SLR Camera 684-101 - This compact telephoto zoom lens was exclusively designed for use with digital SLR cameras. The image circle was designed to match the size of the image sensors of digital SLR cameras that also allows compact body and lightweight with overall length of 84.6mm (3.3in.), and weight of only 310g/10.9 ounces. It has a filter size of 55mm, maximum diameter of 70mm (2.7in.). This remarkably compact high performance zoom lens is ideally suited to a wide range of subjects. This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 110cm (43.3in.) and maximum magnification of 1:4. Digital cameras having image sensors larger than APS-C size, and 35mm cameras, should not be used with these lenses. If such cameras are used, severe vignetting in the images may result. The angle of view varies depending on the camera the lens is mounted on
Customer Review: Excellent quality, solid lens on a budget, Recommended!
I read somewhere the lens is plastic like feel, that is not true. In the contrary, to me the construction and mate finish texture what I liked the most. Have taken it to a few outdoor events and at least people who do not know about lenses ask how much I paid for it and are impressed with the price tag and over-all quality.

Canon EOS Rebel 2000 35mm SLR Camera Kit with 28-80mm Lens Canon EOS Rebel 2000 35mm SLR Camera Kit with 28-80mm Lens The Canon EOS Rebel 2000 is an affordable, lightweight, andfull-featured automatic 35mm SLR for both beginning and advancedamateur photographers. It offers a host of special modes for specificshooting situations, including full auto, manual, night scene, portrait, landscape, and more. It also has shutter-speed priority andaperture priority modes–although most users will inevitably leave thecamera in full auto mode a majority of the time and the cameraperforms very well that way. Just remember that the empty rectanglesymbol on the mode dial is for full auto.

Some other basic features include an impressive seven-point autofocussystem, LCD panel with extensive information display, three exposuremetering modes (evaluative, partial, and centerweighted), autoexposure bracketing, a multiple exposure function, and depth-of-fieldpreview. The autofocus system is incredibly responsive, and includesseven focusing points that can be set individually for super creativeshooting. In other words, using the LCD panel as a guide, you can setthe camera to automatically focus on the far right focus point (or anyof the other points) so your main subject doesn’t have to be in themiddle of the frame to be in focus in a snap.

In fact, most settings can be adjusted in creative ways on the Rebel2000, like the exposure level, which can be set to overexpose orunderexpose up to two full stops for tricky lighting situations whereyou might want to fool the camera’s metering system. It also has asmall, built-in pop-up flash, plus a hot shoe for an additional flashunit. Overall, we found this camera to be smartly designed with anattractive look and a comfortable feel.

Customer Review: Fast Sharp and Excellent Build
What more could you want. I’ve used Canon’s great 10-22mm and it is a nice lens but as a comparison here is what I found.

-Sharpness goes to the Tokina hands down. While wide open @ 2.8 it might be about equal by the time the Tokina is stopped down to the 3.5 that the Canon is wide open there is no comparison.

Canon ET-65B Lens Hood for EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 IS and DO IS USM Lenses Canon ET-65B Lens Hood for EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 IS and DO IS USM Lenses Lens hoods are primarily designed to prevent unwanted stray light from entering by extending and shading the end of the lens, ensuring no problems with vignetting or motor functions. Additionally, since the end of the lens is extended, you also get the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact. Lens hoods match the specific focal length of the lens it was designed for.

This lens hood fits the following Canon lenses:

  • EF 70-300mm f4.5-5.6 DO IS USM
  • EF 70-300mm f4-5.6 IS USM

Customer Review: Canon ET-65B Lens Hood
Does the job - lots of money for a piece of plastic though, it could not have cost that much to manufacture.
Customer Review: Over priced
Does what it’s supposed to but way over priced. I was just cleaning out my old gear and looked at a Minolta lens hood, it’s metal (aluminum?) and light, it’s solid and probably costs less than 50% of what Canon’s asking for. And why does it have to be so big? I guess Canon is trying to make you feel better that you are getting a big lens hood for your money.

Giottos Rocket-Air Blower Professional AA1900 Large + Lenspen Lens Pen Cleaning System + Accessory Kit for Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax and Sony Digital SLR Cameras Giottos Rocket-Air Blower Professional AA1900 Large + Lenspen Lens Pen Cleaning System + Accessory Kit for Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax and Sony Digital SLR Cameras Kit includes: 1) Giottos Rocket-Air Blower Professional AA1900; 2) Lenspen Lens Pen Cleaning System; 3) Deluxe 5-Piece Lens Cleaning Kit; 4) Microfiber Cleaning Cloth. The Giottos Rocket-Air Blower is very powerful and easy to use cleaning system. The super air stream blows off dust particles, even those attracted by static electricity. Giottos’ patented and unique rocket base design allows the Rocket-Air to stand by itself and prevents accidental blocking of the inlet valve as well as making it easy to store. The inlet valve prevents back flow from the air tube. This air blower is an excellent way to remove dust off sensitive equipment parts without physical contact. It works great when used on digital camera sensors, lenses, telescopes, computer keyboards, microscopes, communications equipment, musical instruments or just about any precision equipment. Keeping your lenses and LCD spotless is crucial to high-quality photography. After all, just the slightest imperfection — such as dust, fingerprints or water stains — can mean the difference between a stunning portrait and an unsalvageable mistake. Unfortunately, microfiber cloths can often leave dust behind, and compressed air won’t clean fingerprints or other stains. The answer is the LensPen! Deluxe 5-Piece Cleaning Kit includes: Lens Cleaning Tissue; Lens Cloth; Lens Cleaning Liquid; Blower Brush; Cotton Swabs.
Customer Review: good product
The rocket blower is what I bought the kit for and it performs as expected. The lens pen and microfiber cloth were more of a bonus. Why get just the rocket blower when you can get it and a few other items for cheaper?

Sigma 50mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro Lens for Canon SLR Cameras Sigma 50mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro Lens for Canon SLR Cameras Sigma launched its first standard 50mm macro lens in 1990, and followed it up with an improved model in 1998. The advent of digital SLR cameras, however, required updated optical technology and a better imaging performance. Enter the latest incarnation of the 50mm macro lens, with an improved design that corrects for various aberrations. Designed exclusively for Canon SLR cameras, this macro lens is specially coated to get the best possible color balance while cutting down on ghosting caused by reflections from the digital image sensor. The lens also includes a floating focusing system, which allows you to precisely photograph objects throughout the entire focusing range. Most importantly, this standard macro lens makes it possible to enjoy better communication with your subject. When viewing through the camera’s finder, you’ll be able to move the subject and make precise adjustments. For example, the lens offers a close working distance of 7.4 inches, making it extremely convenient to take close-up pictures of a fossil or other inanimate objects.

Other details include a minimum aperture of f/45 that provides a greater depth of field than most lenses, a screw-in lens hood that makes it easy to attach circular polarizing filters, and a 46.8-degree angle of view. All Sigma lenses carry a one-year warranty.

Tamron AF 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di LD VC (Vibration Compensation) Aspherical (IF) Macro Zoom Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras Tamron AF 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di LD VC (Vibration Compensation) Aspherical (IF) Macro Zoom Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras Camera shake can ruin your photos, particularly when taking telephoto shots or shooting in low light conditions. This Tamron 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 macro zoom lens, however, fights camera shake with its state-of-the-art vibration compensation (VC) mechanism, which delivers blur-free handheld images for incredible results. The proprietary VC mechanism employs a three-coil system that moves the VC lens electromagnetically based on signals originating from the movement of three steel balls. The lens element that compensates for vibration is held in place by the balls, so there is little friction and the movement is quite smooth. The end result is a technology that makes it possible to create exceptional images at slower shutter speeds under conditions where a tripod used to be necessary. You can also use subject movement to good effect with the lens, bringing out the contrast between motion and stillness, or shoot without a flash to evoke the genuine atmosphere of the scene.

The lens covers an extremely broad range of focal lengths, from a wide 28mm length to a super-telephoto 300mm length (the 35mm equivalent of 43 to 465mm). Even better, the vibration compensation works throughout the entire zoom range, giving you the freedom to create a wide variety of different images. Other details include a macro magnification ratio of 1:3, a rotational zoom, a minimum focusing distance of 19.3 inches, and a 67mm filter diameter. The lens, which measures 3.06 inches in diameter and 3.9 inches long, carries a six-year warranty.
Customer Review: Buying this with caution and testing…or you will regret this!
I own this for 6 months…had a great time travelling with this and my D700 Nikon camera.
PRO: satisfied that this lens is not as sharp as prime lenses, however, it is a general purpose walk about lens.
Con:
* camera and lens combination is heavy. Went to Beijing, carried it for 2 days, and used my G9 on third day. When back to this combination again on fourth day. alternating.
*after 6 months, I found that there was something wrong with the sharpness of the lens. Nikon service center tested to see if my camera had problem with focusing, and found that this lens had front focusing problme.
*went back to agent: tried two other lenses- replacement focused then blurred. Had exchanged the first lens when I found that the zoom was not smooth..at about 250mm, the barrel appears to have a slight jam.
*grey set: dont ever get a grey set for this lens. You will regret it, although the price could be $100 cheaper! You will get endless problems solving your lens problem.

Customer Review: not worth the money
for the price of this lens it should be made of metal. also for its size it should almost be a fish eye lens not a lens that barely adds a 1/4 more screen. HUGE LENS AND ADAPTOR for the weight of the lens the adaptor should be metal for sure. sony lenses are metal at this price
Customer Review: This thing is huge…
It is big and really not convenient for general use, but when you need wide angle it is fantastic. Very clear and no distortion all the way to the edges.
