Canon SLRs Lenses

i have looked on eBay amazon and many other website finding a huge variety of choices for camera lenses. I can not figure out what lens is right for my camera i would like a fish-eye lens for my self adjusted Minolta 35 mm. Please help i don’t want to spend over 100$ on the wrong product.

Most 35mm film camera lenses have a screw thread on the inside of the lens housing at the front, which is used to attach filters or a sun hood. The diameter of this thread is usually marked on the front of the lens in millimeters, such as 49, 52, or 55, followed by an “o” with a diagonal slash through it. I need to know the name of this measurement. (It’s not “focal length”.)

I’ve got a lot of great Nikon lenses but want to up grade to a digital camera. Can I get any Nikon Digital Camera to use with these lenses? My understanding is that most F-mount lenses are compatible with newer models.
